Once there was a small bird named Pip. Pip had blue wings and a yellow body. Pip lived in a big tree near a house.
Every day, Pip sang songs. The songs were happy and loud. But Pip felt alone. No one heard the songs.
One cold morning, a girl named Luna walked by the tree. She had long hair and kind eyes. She heard Pip singing.
“What a nice song!” said Luna. She looked up and saw Pip in the tree.
Luna went home and made something. She used wood and paint. She worked all day. It was a bird house!
The next day, Luna put the bird house in her garden. It was red with a small door. She put seeds inside.
Pip saw the bird house from the tree. Pip was hungry and flew down to eat the seeds. The bird house was warm and nice.
Luna sat very still and watched. Pip ate seeds and sang a happy song. Luna smiled.
Every day, Luna put seeds in the bird house. Every day, Pip came to eat and sing.
Now Pip has a friend. Now Luna has a friend too. Pip is not alone, and the happy songs are for Luna.
